Arts Fest 2011

It’s that time of year again – Arts Fest Time! Every July State College, PA plays host to “Arts Fest” or the more formally titled Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.

It’s a fun time in State College, first and foremost, for the art. Secondly, because the town comes to life with returning students, alumni and art lovers from around the world. It’s truly State College and Penn State at it’s best with great food, great crowds, great culture and of course – great nightlife! This is where Local Motion Entertainment and it’s team of DJs come in!

Of course, nightlife is only a small part of Arts Fest. You’ll find many Penn State students and returning alumni enjoying refreshing drinks and great food at establishments throughout State College. Some favorite outdoor bars and restaurants include Cafe 210 West, Mad Mex and Inferno & The Deli.

If you love live music you can catch great bands like Atlas Soundtrack, Bill Bauer Band, Eric Brace & Peter Cooper, Cartoon, The Earthtones, Eric Himan, JR & Natalie, Ted McCloskey & The HiFi’s & More. For a complete performance schedule visit the Arts Festival’s schedule page.

In addition to State College’s Arts Fest. There’s also The Peoples Choice Festival in Boalsburg that coincides with Penn State’s Arts Fest. Both festivals feature talented artists and boutique craftsmanship on display – in addition to some great food and live music! If you’re looking for great food or restaurants in Boalsburg I highly recommend Duffy’s Tavern or Kelly’s Steak and Seafood. During the day Brewers Cafe & The Pump Station are hidden gems, offering great sandwiches and snack foods,

You can catch the Local Motion team of DJ’s at Indigo – Penn State’s biggest and most happening nightclub Thursday – Sunday nights this and every week.
