Frequently Asked Questions

Questions to ask your DJ

Do you offer a written contract?

The answer to this question should ALWAYS be yes. A written contract is one of the first signs that your DJ is reliable and professional. A contract establishes the DJ’s obligation to the client and outlines what is required for the performance. Local Motion Entertainment always provides its clients with clearly written contracts that state the event start time, the event end time, location and any enhancements, such as lighting upgrades ,that clients may choose, with itemized pricing – we never “hide” prices or tack on extra charges.
I’m planning my wedding from out of town, can you help?

Another question that should be answered with a resounding yes. The team at Local Motion Entertainment can help you plan your wedding from long distances by using our exclusive online planning tools. Our online planning will guide you through your entire wedding day helping you select all of your “must play ”and “do not play songs.” In addition, we’re always available to chat by phone or Skype!
Will I be able to meet my DJ prior to my wedding day?

You should always know who will be the actual DJ on your big day. Local Motion Entertainment promises that you will always get to meet the actual DJ who will be entertaining at your reception.
What happens if my DJ gets sick?

A reputable DJ should always have a back up plan in place for your wedding weekend. Local Motion takes great pride in the fact that we have never missed an event. EVER. We also always have a DJ on call on wedding weekends, ready to step in at a moment’s notice.
Do you have references?

Obviously a good DJ who takes pride in his or her work should be able to offer you dozens of references. Local Motion Entertainment asks all of our clients to provide a written review on WeddingWire.com , an independently run online wedding website.
Can we visit you at a performance?

The answer to this should typically be no. Weddings and other private functions are invite only and it would be in bad taste to invite prospective clients to private parties. Local Motion Entertainment respects the privacy of its clients. Our team performs regularly at bars and nightclubs throughout Central PA, but the best way to get a feel for your DJ’s style is by meeting face to face.
